Where do I even begin on this weeks announcements???
I guess I'll start with the most exciting news in my life which is that of President Obama is sending 100 US troops to Central Africa in order to help end Africa's longest running war. Invisible Children (which I'm a part of) has been working towards this goal for years now. (Since at least 2003) and Finally the US is taking a stand and saying that "where you lives, shouldn't determine whether you live!" Thursday was insane! I cried, I screamed, I danced, I shouted I did it all. I know that all my brothers and sisters that are in this fight with me did the same and we were filled with more joy than ever before!
If you are wanting to support this amazing decision by President Obama take a picture of yourself holding a sign that says "Mr. President Invisible Children (or you can right "I") support you in your decision regarding the #LRA. -(your name)" and send it to president@invisiblechildren.com
A flickr account by Invisible Children is being filled with these images to send to Obama himself to show our gratitude and what this means to us!!!!
(BEST Picture ever!!! I tear up every time I see this!)
There is still much to be done in Central Africa and in America but we must always remember to appreciate and celebrate the small things because they are what add up to the biggest things. (Small things with great love as Mother T always said)
Speaking of America CAN YOU BELIEVE OCCUPY WALLSTREET????
It's global now in over 1,200 cities and 6 continents! This summer when I attended the Fourth Estate the whole purpose of this new estate was that the rich and the poor would come together and fight for equality and for love! I look around the world today and I see the next "French Revolution." The poor have had it, we are no longer willing to stand by and watch the richest people in the world take all that they want while others are starving, sick and dying.
I am so proud to be a part of this youth movement! I can't believe where we have come in a month! My prayers are with everyone out on the streets now standing for what they so deeply believe in.
We are not only Winning our war for Central Africa against the LRA, we are Occupying the WOLRD and even more we are Occupying hearts!
I will leave you with this old latin saying. . .
A posse ad esse. Aut viam inveniam aut faciam.
From possibility to actuality. I will either find a way or make one.
